Good Morning, New York.

The smell of fresh air in New York City is unlike any other.  I can finally understand the wonders of this city within the first ten minutes of walking through Manhattan.  I'm not saying I'm a newly found honorary New Yorker either, but it is definitely a world of its own.  After growing up in several different metropolitans in the world, New York's liveliness and energy goes beyond the ordinary.  There is just so much to do, so much to see, so much to experience, and so much to keep in that small memory bank of ours.  There is almost too much to soak up.  I have never been in a city that is constantly bubbling and boiling with excitement - no matter what street, no matter what avenue.  The sights, sounds and my tastebuds are definitely overwhelmed - of course, in a good way.
My first day in the Big Apple is nothing but wonderful.  Seeing familiar faces, catching up, and cracking jokes puts me on top of the world.  The day consisted of Mexican food, Museum of Modern Art, new faces, incredible Himalayan cuisine, mouth-watering deserts and a little bit of girl talk to end the day.  The entire day seemed almost surreal.  I have never thought to see these familiar faces under these circumstances, and I guess what brought us together was none other than the one and only, New York City.
